Not directly connected to the new Atlantic Studies journal which John
mentions, but there is indeed a very good (and pretty busy) moderated H-NET
list for interdisciplinary perspectives on the historical Atlantic (AD
1500-1800). The H-ATLANTIC discussion network homepage is here -

I've found the H-ATLANTIC list very useful (especially for reviews) over the
past two years. Would be great to see some more archaeologists there,
