The one I know about (having thought about taking the course) was thru
leicester in england; they also started a PhD program a year or so later -
Quite a good course, from what I could tell, and from what I've heard -
geoff carver - SUNY buffalo

Subject: Remote Lewarning Degrees
I had a question from an older student recently, inquiring about the
existence of remote learning courses leading to an M.A. in archaeology (or
anthropology with an archaeological emphasis). This would seem to be
difficult to me, but perhaps the classroom work and thesis could be
completed this way. Does anyone know of such a program here, in the UK,
Australian, NZ, or Canada? Thanks. Bob Hoover
