"Images of the Past"

As members of the SHA may know, I contribute a column to the SHA NEWSLETTER
(General Editor, William B. Lees)
that presents images (photos and photos of drawings, etchings etc.) that
highlight the history of historical archaeology.
A column appears in each issue of the NEWSLETTER.

Would anyone on HISTARCH have a good "action" photo of Ed Rutsch in the
field that they would let me use in "Images
of the Past?" An earlier shot would be better, say, of his 1970s Paterson
Project but a later photo would also do. If
you have such an image please contact me off line ([log in to unmask]).

Well I am at this ... would anyone have any photos of:

(1) Arnold Pilling during the 1950s on his urban archaeoloogy work in
Detroit, MI.

(2) Judy Birmingham on one of her early HISTORIC site projects in Australia
[I have tried this request before but am still
missing an image and Judy will not answer any correspondence.]

(3) A photo of the first (or very early) meeting of:

         (a) the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology
         (b) the Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology
         (c) the Society for Industrial Archaeology (American)
         (d) the Australian Society for Historical Archaeology [former
name] ????

Please contact me off line ([log in to unmask]). Thank you.
