Lynn's point is well taken. European museums will surely provide extensive
collections from the 18th and 19th century world. I saw fascinating material
from the American west in the Royal Exeter Museum and I know that material
has
been borrowed from several French museums for exhibitions here in Quebec.
You
should try putting your request out on European museum oriented lists,
perhaps
starting with Britarch!
