Even so, the sight of millions of eucalypts destroying your fields and
choking your rivers gives many Australian travellers a pleasing scene of
reverse ecological imperialism, and makes us feel so much at home.

I would not doubt the nurserymen who planted the trees here and the
rail
lumbermen who cut them ignored any advice from native Australians.
Certainly
someone made at least one mistake. Around here, it is considered a joke
on
the railroad.
