The 'King of Instruments' has been in my bloodstream in recent months.
Mostly, I have gravitated toward the Baroque genre to satisfy my needs.
But it's now time to move forward to composers of the late romantic period.
I do have a few organ recordings of Schmidt's on Capriccio, but there's
much more to delve into.

Within the past week, I acquired the 12 or so Naxos discs of Dupre's organ
music and am enjoying them immensely. However, there are other labels
which have devoted themselves to issuing Dupre organ works. Do the organ
mavens on the list have any recommendations?

And then there's Reger, Vierne, Alain, and a host of other composers. Any
recommendations of organ recordings for these composers would be greatly
appreciate - MDG, Motette, Calcante, etc. If I receive no advice, I'll
have to buy up everything in sight. Since this could damage my long
standing marriage of over 30 years, I urgently ask for your assistance.

Although I have mentioned in the past that my wife is a 'trooper'
concerning my CD buying regimen, she never really knows the rate of
acquisition. That is beginning to change now that some of my reviews are
on the Bach Cantatas Website. She has been reading one review a day, and
I can already tell that she's pondering where I get all these versions
for comparison. If she ever sees the Goldberg Variations Round-Up I'm
currently doing, disaster could be imminent. So, you can well understand
that I need your discriminating taste to immerse myself in organ music
without having to look for a new spouse and home to live in. Actually,
I'd likely look for two new spouses; I get stronger with time.
