Of course, it could be that by 1943 most Nazi moles could read the writing on
the wall and packed up their radios for cold storage. I can see a spy sending
a few messages and then getting scared and simply stopping. Could be all
those 65 air alerts off Point Loma caused him to rething his strategy too. I
imagine everyone on Point Loma could see those squadrons of bombers and fleet
of destroyers zig-zagging across the Pacific searching for submarines. Or,
could be Ned Heite was right and this was just an innocent Bund member who
owned a Nazi radio.
