Valley Forge, Gettiesburg to name just two. I think you will find that
most National Parks at sites of military conflicts limit acess because of
the ephemeral nature of the deposits left by those engagements. That was
not always the case however. Dr. David Orr (NPS) tells horror stories of
what happend to the archaeogical record at Valley Forge because of a
boyscout Camporee in the 70's.
