The potential impact of telecommunications towers on the environment and historic properties has made compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations a growing area of interest and concern. FCC regulations require project review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Consideration of historic properties in compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) can also be an issue. Learn how to understand the requirements, time frames, and process for compliance with the environmental and historic preservation regulations. Review the process of writing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Discuss how to avoid potential problems and pitfalls.
