Hi,
A friend of mine (without email) recently excavated a site in Queenstown,
New Zealand that, based on the artefacts, he suspects may have been a
brothel during the second half of the nineteenth century. The assemblage
was quite different from anything else that has been excavated in the area.
It contained a lot of opium tins, a relatively high proportion of cut glass
and a few perfume bottles. He was interested to know what artefacts had
been recovered from known nineteenth century brothels, or what other
possible explanations might exist for this assemblage.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Katharine Watson
