AH,

Sure, that is a fair question. When we pulled the transmitter out from under
the pile of 1945 newspapers it was covered with a quarter inch of dust. We
hauled it out to the back yard and hosed it off. Under the slimy dust, the
golden decal of an eagle with a swastika in its talons became quite clear.
Until we found that piece of evidence, I did not assume anything.
