Elizabeth, I have not heard of this company in a Melbourne context, and have
looked into Melbourne brickmakers extensively. Where abouts is your site?

Subject: BRICK: WILSMORE

I have excavated a red clay brick - 10 cm by 30 cm (from an site circa
1880 - 1920, in Victoria, Australia) with WILSMORE printed on the
indentation. The S is reversed. Does anyone know where this brick may have
been made? None of the known brickmakers, mentioned in the tomes I have
read mention this name. (I suspect it is an English brick?)
