The U.S. Department of Defense has done extensive studies of World War II
temporary buildings, including some sort of document that rationalizes
demolition. The U.S. Armed Forces have a high priority on demolition and hate
like death to preserve those things. Personally, I think they are great and
am thrilled each time I see a Quonset Hut in an industrial or farming area.
