I just received my SHA Quebec 2000 registration packet and the meetings look
very inviting. Two fast reminders:

        (1) The Banquet (quail from the Island of Orleans!) and the Awards
                Ceremony are on Friday night (January 7th) with the
                ceremony starting at 8:30. The organizers mention that
                chairs will be put out for those wanting only to attend
                the ceremony.

                Please consider signing up for the Banquet and do come
                to the Awards Ceremony for 2000.

        (2) The Session "ENTERING HISTORICAL ARCHAEOLOGY", which I have
                organized, is incorrectly listed with both parts being
                shown on Saturday morning. The Conference Committee has
                already corrected this on the net version. The correct
                schedule is:

                Part I -  Saturday Morning (January 8th)
                Part II-  Saturday Afternoon   "    "
