In response to the inquiry about 18th century stoneware potters, John A.
Burrison's "Brothers in Clay: The Story of Georgia Folk Pottery," University of
Georgia Press, Athens (1983) might be of interest. While the book is
predominantly focused on the 19th and 20th century, it does touch on earlier
potters and pottery. In addition, Burrison provides a lengthy bibliography "on
Georgia folk pottery," and a long list of Georgia folk potters (names, birth
and death dates, locations, page references to the book).
