I am currently finishing my MA thesis with Leicester. I found the
program to be excellent. Per Adrians post it was a good fit for me. The
Heritage Management aspect of the project is, as you would expect heavy on
the preservation laws of the UK but still applicable. The module on
architecture was brilliant! The focus of the modules was very international.
Like any program you get out of it what you put into it. I found the
professors accessible and helpful. My one suggestion would be if possible GO
to Leicester at the beginning of the course work. I visited at the end of my
2 years. What I got from the visit was the sense of belonging to a real
university and it calmed my fears of it being a "draw the pirate on the
match book" program. On comparison to friends campus based programs the
amount of work and student output was identical. It doesn't hurt that
Leicester was rated a perfect 5 out of 5 and was one of the top 5 schools
for archaeology in the UK. They have also started a PhD program that looks
very good. If you have specific questions about the program feel free to
contact me off list
