You might want to contact Tom Wheaton at New South. I believe he worked on
an orangerie in South Carolina, if memory serves. I know he presented a
paper on one at the '92 SHA conference in Kingston, Jamaica.  You can reach

There is a discussion of greenhouses/orangeries in an article by Carmen
Weber in Yamin and Metheny's "Landscape Archaeology", published in '96 by
the University of Tennessee Press.
