IMMEDIATE OPENING
Kittatinny Archaeological Research, Inc., a cultural resource management
consulting firm based in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, has an immediate opening
for a Principal Investigator / Archaeologist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position involves overall responsibility for Phase I-III archaeological
investigations of cultural resource management projects, from proposal
preparation through final report submission. The principal investigator /
archaeologist is also responsible for coordination with the preservation
planner on projects involving historic structure, landscape, and other such
resources. The position entails supervision of technical staff. The
principal investigator is ultimately responsible for the technical quality
of investigations and for ensuring compliance with SHPO requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must meet Secretary of the Interior and ROPA qualification
requirements. Substantial experience in the prehistoric archaeology of
eastern North America is necessary. Experience in historic archaeology is
desired. Good writing skills are essential. An in-person interview is
required.
COMPENSATION:
Wages will be commensurate with training and experience. Mileage, lodging,
and meals are reimbursed while in the field. Medical insurance and paid
holidays are available.

Kittatinny Archaeological Research, Inc. is located in Stroudsburg, within 2
hours of Philadelphia and New York City.
