A) THE DICTIONARY OF COMPOSERS AND THEIR MUSIC

There is an alphabetical listing of composers with brief details.  Gilder
only included 427 composers in his dictionary and the detail provided is
variable.  We do have the permission of Eric Gilder's daughter, Paula Day
and the copyright holder, Tamara Gilder his grand-daughter, to amend and
add information to improve this dictionary.  **** All contributions
welcome.**** (to [log in to unmask]) Also included is a useful
chronology of composition dates.

B) The Musicweb ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF POPULAR MUSIC edited by Donald Clarke
This is a mammoth 4000 page entry of what was previously published as the
Penguin Encyclopedia of Popular Music.  Penguin did not wish to publish
an updated edition so we are doing it instead.
