There are indeed some amazing geneaology software out there. I now forget the
name of one I visited the other day, but when I typed-in my obscure Danish
grandfather's name I got him and a link to all his parents. Under each name
was another link that took it back another generation. Following this
process, I took it back to the 17th century before I simply bailed for lack
of time. By the way, the Ellis Island material is so detailed it shows a
photo of the ship immigrants traveled with a sheet of details. The ship my
wife's grandfather came over on in 1912 is showed as sunk by the German Navy
in 1918. This stuff is just amazing!
