Tony Ranere at Temple University reports that a physical anthropologist
at Thomas Jefferson University wants to know about archaeological and
other information on 17th century shoes and shoe lasts in the Middle
Atlantic area.I would suspect she would also be interested in other 17th
century sources and examples. She is not on HISTARCH but can be directly
contacted at:

                Janice Brucker, PT, PhD
                Associate Professor
                Director of Research
                Department of Physical Therapy
                Thomas Jefferson University
                130 South 9th Street, Suite 830
                Philadelphia, PA 19107-5233 USA

Please contact her directly off the list. Thomas Jefferson is both
a university and a hospital. I have already told her about the 17th
century shoes from Ulster (Salterstown), N.I.
