In Hawaii, there are the "famous" "Barking Sands" a missile test station I
seem to remember after someone brought it up on this list or someone
somewhere else. The shifting of the sands in the wind produces a "bark"
there but I think it's also temperature dependent. I was curious as a
friend's friend lives nearby.
