When beetle larvae show up in the hive you need to vacuum clean the
bottom of hive clean. When you have a swarm this is the time that the beetle
larvae will expand for destruction of hive.
I drilled a hole at the bottom side large enough to put a tube the
size of ones finger thur. Any debree that builds at the bottom can be
vacuumed out. Assembly of masking tape used to connect the tube to the
vacuum cleaner hose can be left together for future uses.
The bees will survive the beetles attack most of the time but will be
weak. Feed sugar water to the hive as soon as you see the larvae debree
build up. If you see the beetle larvae on the frame, they start out as a
circle, you can exchange the frame.
