Robeson Vocal Competition

The Urban Philharmonic Society, Inc., of Washington, DC, Darrold V.
hunt, Conductor and Music Director, announces the 2001 Paul Robeson
Vocal Competition.  Singers in all vocal ranges and styles are invited to
compete.  Contestants may present classical, jazz or popular selections of
their choice, with at least one in a language other than English.  This
12th Annual edition of the Competition will take place at Washington DC's
St.  Luke's Episcopal Church on November 10 and 11, 2001.  Prizes include
recitals in the New York and Washington DC areas and cash awards.
Application fee:  $25.  Postmark deadline is October 12, 2001.  For
