Hi all from Auckland, New Zealand.  Sad news today.  We have had news that
Douglas Lilburn died today.  He was aged 85.  He was one of the pioneers of
Classical Music in New Zealand, He wrote 3 symphonies,overtures and Piano
Music.  He was influenced early on by the Music of Sibelius and Vaughan
Williams and later by Stravinsky.  He will be greatly missed in New Zealand
Music Circles.  Regards
