Hi all--
I wonder if anyone out there just happens to have run across this decoration (it is a long shot). I have the tiniest bit of
an early 19th century over glaze transfer printed creamware commemorative vessel which shows three flags, one of
which is clearly flying from a ship's mast (over a crows nest). The flags are white, with red at the very top (not identifiable
by nation). The numbers 36, 38, and 39 are seen above the flags. A building is visble as well, so the ship is clearly in a
harbor... Anybody have any idea what battle this might commemorate? An image will be provided on request...
Thanks, Carl Steen
