I'm thinking about buying Charles Rosen's book "Beethoven`s Piano Sonatas:
A Short Companion" sight-unseen. Does anyone have an opinion about this
book? What's the level of technical content? For a gauge, I'm comfortable
with the technical level of Kerman's Beethoven quartet book, but Tovey's
sonata analyses are far too detailed for me.

Thanks!
David
