Dear listeners, We're thrilled to welcome guitarist Pepe Romero into the
studio for two days this week. He's a wonderful storyteller, and he'll
even try some flamenco along with some traditional Spanish favorites. We
also have another installment of "What Makes it So Great." This time, Rob
Kapilow will tackle George Gershwin's classic lullaby, "Summertime." If you
don't catch it on the air, you'll be able to find it online, along with
other commentaries, like Jan Swafford's insightful essay about Wagner,
which ran last week.
COMING UP ON PERFORMANCE TODAY JULY 30 - AUGUST 3, 2001
