Oh, a little more about Weigl, for the curious.  The 8th string quartet (in
D) was recently republished (1990s) by the American Composers Edition (in
New York.) The 2nd quartet is in E (and has a part for viola d'Amore.) (I
believe the 6th and 7th quartets were both recorded at some point along the
way, the latter coupled with a quartet by Jindrich Feld on a Serenus LP.)
Looking forward to that Sanderling-conducted BIS CD of Weigl symphonies
mentioned recently on rmcr, yours
