A simple inquiry. I tried to ask this question on several lists and some
individuals, but nobody even answered "I don't know."
In the movie by Luis Bunuel, "Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie" there
is only one piece of music. It is played by a string quartet (?) in a
restaurant, where the ladies are told there is nothing to drink but water,
and where they meet a sensitive lieutenant who tells them the story of his
childhood. This is roughly the middle of the movie.
What music (composer/piece) do they play?
If the question seems inappropriate to the list, and nobody wants to know,
or everybody knows, please reply offlist. I'll appreciate references or
links also.
Thank you in advance,
Alexey Fuchs
