The first CD I bought to replace an old vinyl record was Heifetz's version
of the Scottish Fantasy. To me, this is the ultimate version. However,
in listening to other recordings of this work (Midori and others), I found
that Heifetz takes a few cuts in his version.

Anyone know why this is? Is it possible that extra material was unearthed
after his recording?
