This was also the conclusion almost a decade ago of our leading
beemasters, most respected in the Auckland club and authors of the best
books I've seen on beekeeping.

In general, though, it must be admitted that less lifting strain is
an advantage of the "3/4" box.
I believe "all 3/4" hives are now accepted around here as better
than most and inferior to none.
