Interesting comment given the fact that Telemann made a study of French
Music and when he visited that city, he was warmly welcomed.  He modeled
a lot of his musical style on the French idiom.  I remember an insult that
Phillip Herreweghe made concerning how "boring" Telemann was to either play
as a performer or conduct.
