Folks,
The literature I have on hand indicates that North Devon Gravel Tempered
pottery was available inthe US up until 1775. However, in my personal
experiences in the Southeast, I've only found it at sites with a known
pre-1730s component. It doesn't seem to show up at sites that were not
occupied until mid-century. Can anyone explain this? If so, what is your
source of information?
Thanks,
Natalie Adams, RPA
