Here in the southern part of the province of Ontario, early to mid 19th
century farmhouses with two front doors are found in the areas settled by
Pennsylvania German Mennonites (northeast of Toronto, Niagara peninsula and
around the city of Kitchener-Waterloo). I do not know if any specific
Ontario-based studies have been carried out.
