Several people have emailed me privately (or cc'd me with posts to the
list) about my blooper concerning "Sir Malcolm Gossip".  Some messages were
delivered with good natured wit, some with patient understanding, and some
with unconcealed churlishness, but all were spot on:  my message concerned
Sir William Walton.  Thanks to all who pointed out the error, and apologies
to any confusion I may have caused.  And to think, when writing the post,
I was concerned that I had the composer's wife's name wrong!
