Well, I don't care whether it's strictly "true" or not (someone - Jack? -
thought this story sounded kinda fishy)! It's a *great* story! I remember
that I used to think sometimes, back when I was breasfeeding my twins, "Ha!
If all these people in this elevator (or on this bus, or wherever I happened
to be at the time...) were trapped in some kind of disaster, I could feed
them ALL! I am truly Superwoman now, so watch out, all you lesser mortals!"
Think of all the ridiculous and stupid and utterly false things we read/hear
in the news about the "dangers" or "potential hazards" of breastfeeding -
I'll bet most people don't think "oooh, I wonder if that could possibly be
true?" when they hear these warnings; most likely, they just nod their heads
sagely and swallow every ridiculous "scientific" warning!
So I say, let's hear it for the Breastfeeding Hero! I may even be moved to
write a song about the incident!
