While it is true that all of us do not have the same writing abilities, it
is possible to improve our skills.  For instance (and this is not a
commercial plug, just a statement of fact!) my employer has all of the
junior PIs, field supervisors, and crew chiefs enrolled in a technical
writing course that Lynn Sebastian gives.
