Hi! I live in Calcutta, India a desert so far as Western classical music
is concerned. I have, however, managed to acquire a few recordings of Otto
Klemperer. Can anyone tell me how does the Klemperer 1960 live Beethoven
cycle (on Music & Arts - deleted and Arkadia) compare with Furtwangler,
Toscanini, Szell, Walter, Bernstein (NYPO and VPO), Karajan (50s, 1962,
1977, 80s) and the studio Klemperer cycle on EMI?
regards,
Indranil
