I heartily suggest Arthur Grumiaux, Eugene Ysaye (if you can find a CD of
his original recordings, made in 1912), and even Jan Kubelik, whom no one
seems to mention anymore.  He was one of the greats.  His last recordings
were made in 1913, so it may be difficult to find them on CD, but I
recommend trying.  Regards,
