I infrequently receive musical gifts; my family members assume that I have
everything already.  It's a bad assumption; they just don't realize how
much recorded music is available.  Also, they can't look at my collection
and make any sense of it, since it's all in random order - more accurately,
in a shambles.

However, I did get from my children a few years ago the Harnoncourt set of
Beethoven symphonies.  I remember that one because of the size of the set
and the renewed interest I had in Beethoven's symphonies from listening to
the set.

Concerning gifts from list members, I did receive a Schwann Opus catalog
from one member and a copy of International Record Review from another.
List members are very nice people, but you already know that.
