Telemann and Vivadi's revival in the 20th century is nothing short of a
miracle. CPO has been undertaking major recordings of Telemann's choral
music with many treasures being recorded for the first time. Telemann's
cantatas and passions are finally getting the hearing that they merit.
CPO's recordings of the Hamburg Kaptainsmusick on three different releases
would no doubt be a delightful purchase. With over 1800 surviving cantatas
in his opus, there are many treasures that still are waiting for
performance and recording.

Naxos has undertaken to record all of the Vivaldi Concerti...over 80 cds.
The recordings issued so far are most excellent.
