For some reason it never seems to get mentioned but his recording of
Beethoven #6 is my favorite out of about 6 versions that I own.  I also
have about 5 versions of Mahler #6 and like Szell's the most of any of
them.  And while we are on the topic I guess I'll mention his Shubert #8
and his wonderful recording of Strauss's 'Death and Transfiguration'.
