OK. 2 disclaimers before I start my meager defense..

1.  I've never been to Boston or seen Ozawa live.
2.  I don't know terribly much of his recorded legacy.

But...I have a cool old LP set from the 60s of Ozawa doing Beethoven 9,
and its one of my favorite versions.  I rarely listen to it because I get
sick of flipping the LPs in mid-movement, but the middle 2 sections I find
really really nice.  But what do I know?
