I've always felt his Epic LP of Boismortier, Rameau, and L. and F.
Couperin were near the top. The Boismortier may have been a first
recording and is astounding. Only recently have other harpsichordists
devoted much attention to this composer. I talked to him about it and I
got the impression that his own opinion was ambivalent; maybe he was just
being modest.
