Singspiel - On Saturday at 13:30 the Met has Jules Massenet's "Manon
Lescaut". On Monday at 16:40 Antena2 has A. Dauvergne's "Les Troqueurs".
On Tuesday at 20:00 WNED has Gaetano Donizetti's "La Favorite". On
Thursday at 15:00 Antena2 has Giuseppe Verdi's "I Masnadieri".
Sviatoslav Richter - On Wednesday starting at 14:00 BBC Radio 3 presents
a celebration of one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century -
the Russian pianist Sviatoslav Richter. Four programmes focusing on key
periods in Richter's career are given, including recordings of music
composed by Liszt, Musorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Prokofiev, Schubert, Bach,
and Rachmaninov.
Women Composers - On Thursday at 08:00 Swedish Radio P2 has "From Hildegard
to Wilhelmina" featuring music composed by Hildegard of Bingen, Beatrix of
Dia, Francesca Caccini, Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre, Barbara
Strozzi and Wilhelmina of Bayreuth.
