You are overreacting. I know a lot of those "Adornos of this world", and
in most cases they play Moses rather than God.

You would get surprised of the success of some concert programs. A couple
years ago, there was an evening program at Teatro Colon (here in Buenos
Aires) by the Experimental Center of Opera and Ballet. They offered
Monteverdi's "Il Combattimento..." and Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire" in
the same concert. There wasn't a single ticket available a week before
the event. And, believe me, people didn't leave after Monteverdi.
