The Brahms Symphonies are wonderful.

I only possess Nos 2 & 3 in the Deutsche Grammophon series by Abbado and
the Berlin Philharmonic, but I can heartily recommend these.  One day, I
shall get round to ordering the rest of this DG set.

I am flabberghasted that so many list members have expressed their dislike
of Brahms' Symphonies.
