In the past the MCML has discussed Tafelmusik's (& Bruno Weil's) Haydn
sacred works recording project for Sony. Until recently, I was aware of
only four recordings in this series:
Theresa & Nelson Masses (recorded in 1996)
With the Tolzer Knabenchor; Bruno Weil, conductor
SK 62823 (Sony)
Paukenmesse (or "Mass in Time of War") et al. (recorded in 1995)
With the Tolzer Knabenchor; Bruno Weil, conductor
SK 68255 (Sony)
Missa Sancti Bernardi de Offida "Heiligmesse" et al. (recorded in 1994)
With the Tolzer Knabenchor; Bruno Weil, conductor
SK 6260 (Sony)
Sacred Works, Salve Regina & Kleine Orgelmesse (recorded in 1993)
With the Tolzer Knabenchor; Bruno Weil, conductor
SK 53368 (Sony)
Now, a fifth recording has surfaced:
Harmoniemesse & Schopfungsmesse (recorded in 1998)
Vocal soloists: Monoyios, Holzl, Hering, van der Kamp
With the Tolzer Knabenchor; Bruno Weil, conductor
499583-2 (Sony Music Entertainment Germany)
The CD booklet is entirely in German. It appears that the Haydn sacred
works series continues, but in limited distribution in Germany. (I ordered
my copy from www.jpc.de.)
