Opera - At 08:00 Nov.25, Concertzender has two works by Arthur Honegger,
"Antigone" and "Jeanne d'Arc au Bucher". At 13:30 on CBC Radio 2 it's
Donizetti's "L'Elisir d'Amore", La Chaine has Stravinsky's "The Rake's
Progress" and NPR World of Opera has Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde". A
half-hour later BBC Radio 3 has Berio's "Folk Songs" and Dallapiccola's
"The Prisoner". At 13:00 Nov.26 Concertzender has Massenet's "Griselidis".
At 17:30 Nov.27 Antena2 has Rousseau's "Le Devin du Village".
At 14:10 Nov.26 Concertzender celebrates the 100 anniversary of Ernst
Krenek's birth by presenting six of this prolific composer's works. This
program is repeated on Nov. 28.
At 05:05 Nov.27 BBC Radio3's Masterworks program will start a week-long
survey of Haydn's string quartets and Galina Vishnevskaya's recordings.
Hans Werner Henze is nicely represented: on Sunday late in the day Antena2
will have Sinfonias #1, #5 and #6 and on Nov.28 at 13:05 CBC Radio2 has his
Toccata Mistica.
Mikhail Pletnev will display works by Beethoven and Chopin on BBC Radio3's
"Performance on 3" at 14:30, Nov.28.
